Fees, funding, reductions & discounts
Choochoos require a £30 non refundable fee to register and secure a place for your child. (Not applicable for children only accessing their 15 or 30 hour entitlement FEE or FF2) This charge covers all administration, a home visit, our parent pack, time with the manager to complete the parent pack and three settling sessions.
All meals (lunch, tea and snacks) are included in our fees, no additional costs are required. Fees include all activities and experiences planned, e.g. resources, activities, outside visits (unless additional costs are required), etc.
We do try to keep costs to a minimum. All fees are subject to change and reviewed each year. Fees do not take into account the free entitlements your child accesses after their 3rd birthday or any free for two funding (FF2). In fact many children attend Choochoos FREE, due to their funding. We offer FREE childcare and are completely flexible with the 30 hours of funding, your child maybe eligible for.

Free early education – government funding
Fees are without the government funded deductions for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Choochoos generally apply the stretched funding option (funding through the whole year to 50 weeks, instead of 38 weeks) however we can offer to apply the funding to term time only.
We offer 15 hours a week of Free For Two ( FF2) funding for all eligible two year olds and 30 hours per week for all eligible 3 and 4 year olds. All meals and snacks are included free of charge.
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is available for all eligible children over 3 years. This is funding towards your child’s development at nursery, not towards payment costs.

At Choochoos parents/carers pay for their child’s place and not for their attendance due to nursery overheads still being incurred.
Fees are calculated by multiplying the weekly figure by 50 and then dividing by 12. Fees are payable monthly in advance, on the 15th of the month. Payment methods that are accepted are cheque, bacs, tax free childcare account, nursery vouchers or cash.
An invoice will be issued to parents/carers 14 days before fees are due, on the 1st of each month. There is a full fees policy that parents/carers will be required to agree and sign when registering their child.
No fees are required for any bank holidays that we are closed, as well as our two week closure during the Christmas period.
Fees will be waived for any children that go into hospital.
- Free Early Education (FEE) is available for 2, 3 and 4 years olds, for up to 30 hours per week, pending eligibility. All meals and snacks are included.
