Dover babychoos (0-2years)
Our Babychoos team provide exceptional care in an environment designed with home in mind.
Graded ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted, Babychoos is unique in both its facilities, experiences and activities offered.
Full of vibrant and sensual play, the design of Babychoos has been carefully created to stimulate our youngest children. The opened planned spaces are based on one level with access to a carefully constructed garden equipped especially for children under two.
Located in River, Dover, we provide daily walks locally and adventures to surrounding places. Interesting opportunities for our children include visits to the park, local community, shops and library. These places are a major part of our Babychoos routine. In fact the Babychoos buggy bus, which accommodates six children at once has become very well known amongst locals.
Babychoos operates a key person and buddy approach. Our work force are carefully selected and understand the importance of developing trusting relationships with both the child and family. Children flourish and learn when they are secure and confident to explore.
‘I like how Choochoos are focused on development and promoting independence’, (Parent, March 2021).
Our caring home from home atmosphere continues throughout with well thought out zones that cater for any child. Well resourced equipment in a rich and friendly accessible environment combined with early years practitioners scaffolding learning raises outcomes for every individual.
We have well equipped areas for nappy changing, bottle feeding and provide nutritional home cooked meals from our fully trained and experienced chef. Any allergy or special requirement is catered for understanding every child is individual.
Babychoos has it’s own safe and secure garden, which is planned out especially to offer physical and sensory experiences for children of younger years. Much of our children’s day is spent outside in our rich learning environment, with access in all weathers. Our children have all day free flow access from inside to outside. They have access to shaded areas, a mud kitchen, herb and nature garden and much more.
Babies need routine which are individual to them. During the home visit your child’s key person will establish your child’s routine and plan to meet their needs at Babychoos as per your routine at home. Stimulating activities are provided and a typical day in Babychoos will include experiences with music and movement, books, craft, outside and treasure basket play.
Outings & walks
Our children often go out exploring as part of our weekly planning. Situated in River, Dover, the park, library and shops are familiar places to visit. With so many places to visit our children love venturing out. To maximise safety, ratio’s of adults to children are increased and children are given florescent jackets to wear. Walks allow our children to collect materials to use back in the nursery and camera’s give the children opportunities to snap any items of interest. The park is a great hit and our children are very familiar with the equipment there.
