Canterbury babychoos (0-2 years)

Our Babychoos team provide exceptional care in an environment designed with home in mind.

Full of vibrant and sensual play, the design of Babychoos has been carefully created to stimulate our youngest children. The opened planned spaces are based on the ground floor all on one level with access to a carefully constructed garden equipped especially for children under two.

Located in the heart of Canterbury, we provide daily walks locally and adventures to surrounding places. Interesting opportunities for our children include visits to the shops, park and library. These places are a major part of our Babychoos routine. In fact the Babychoos buggy bus, which accommodates six children at once has become very well known amongst locals.

Babychoos operates a key person and buddy approach. Our work force are carefully selected and understand the importance of developing trusting relationships with both the child and family. Children flourish and learn when they are secure and confident to explore.

‘I wanted to thank you all for what is clearly the result of a well-maintained nursery, my daughter is having so much fun, care and affection. Thank you EYPs, you all do an amazing job’, (Parent, October 2020).

Inside environment

Our caring home from home atmosphere continues throughout with well thought out zones that cater for any child. Well resourced equipment in a rich and friendly accessible environment combined with early years practitioners scaffolding learning raises outcomes for every individual.

We have well equipped areas for nappy changing, bottle feeding and provide nutritional home cooked meals from our fully trained and experienced chef. Any allergy or special requirement is catered for understanding every child is individual.

Outside environment

Babychoos has it’s own safe and secure garden, which is planned out especially to offer physical and sensory experiences for children of younger years. Much of our children’s day is spent outside in our rich learning environment, with access in all weathers. They have access to shaded areas, walk in sand pit, herb and nature garden and much more.

Babies need routine which are individual to them. During the home visit your child’s key person will establish your child’s routine and plan to meet their needs at Babychoos as per your routine at home. Stimulating activities are provided and a typical day in Babychoos will include experiences with music and movement, books, craft, outside and treasure basket play.

Outings & walks

We provide daily walks locally and adventures to surrounding places. Interesting opportunities for our children include visits to the cathedral, museum, park, local schools, shops and library. We often go further a field to visit farms, the beach and other local nurseries. We are close friends with an elderly residential home who enjoy our visits. Our children love going out to explore and often the decision is very spontaneous.
