Choochoos Notice 30/03/2020

It is with a very heavy heart that Choochoos has made the sad but necessary decision to temporarily close two sites during the government restrictions in place to beat the coronavirus pandemic. As of Monday 30 March 2020 Choochoos Whitstable and Choochoos Dover will be closed until further notice. Choochoos Canterbury will remain open for the critical sector as a central hub. Choochoos will review and assess the situation again on 20/4/2020 and then every week thereafter until all three settings can again reopen.

Choochoos continue to urge all families to stay home if they can and to continue to follow the guidance from the government. We are keeping our parents/carers updated via email.

About Choochoos Day Nursery

Choochoos opened it’s doors  in 2005 and has three sites Canterbury (opened 2010), Dover (opened 2013) and Whitstable (opened 2005). Our nurseries are owned and registered by Karla Tabony, a fully qualified Early Years teacher.

The day to day running of the nurseries is directed by our Nursery Managers.  Each are qualified  childcare practitioners with either a degree or early years teacher qualification. They have a wealth of experience in early years education and in management, their quality staffing, with appropriate qualifications and experience, has a huge impact upon the quality of service that we offer.

Choochoos believe children thrive when given opportunities to explore and independently develop through play experiences inside and out. High levels of well being and involvement raises a child’s self esteem and confidence allowing ‘deep level learning’ for every individual to take place. Our Ofsted inspections where possible  have been graded as Outstanding in all areas of care and education. Being a first inspection Dover Choochoos could only  achieve a maximum of a ‘Good’ rating.
